Ibrahim and Jamilla - Tales from the Arabian Nights -26th March 2010
Jo Hirons was our storyteller for the evening, recounting the tale of Ibrahim and Jamilla. The story was illustrated by 4 dancers,the gypsy, the merchants daughter, the quayside dancer and Jamilla the heroine, a great meal was had at Markas Restaurant. A very successful, different and interesting night for all..
Workshops and Hafla with Anne White
on the 3rd July Anne White of Planet Egypt London came to Leeds and taught some great workshops and was the star guest at our Hafla
Workshops and Dance Show with Princess Farhana
Princess Farhana visited us in July and taught 2 amazing workshops and was the brilliant star of our Arabic Dance Show at 7Arts. Other superb guests were Jamilla, Heather, Dancers Bizarre, Hazarah, Egyptia, Janina and Hareer. As well as fantastic Hassan Erraji and Adam J Amin.
